As a senior at the University of California, Los Angeles, Jennifer is pursuing a double major in English and French/Francophone Studies. Having been actively involved in her social sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, throughout college in a variety offices, Jennifer is also a board member of the Undergraduate English Association, a member of Sigma Tau Delta (the English honors society), and a representative for GAMMA (Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol).
Being a native of Garden Grove, Jennifer is a 2001 graduate of Pacifica High School where she was involved in track, cross country, marching band, cheer, class cabinet, California Scholastic Federation and many other organizations. During that time she was a two-time Garden Grove League champion in high jump, recognized as a National Merit Scholarship qualifier and received an Orange County Spirit of Volunteerism award.
Jennifer's early-inspired passion for politics has led her to her platform: "Encouraging Political Awareness in Teens and Young Adults." A fourth-grade project first introduced Jennifer to the American political process, and she has been fascinated with current events and our political system ever since. Throughout her year of service, she plans to work with the school system to encourage political involvement from students, and to work with local organizations to inform and register young voters.
